Specialized Tutoring
for all types of learners k-12
At The Learning Connection, we believe that learning differences should never be barriers to success. Our specialized tutoring programs are designed specifically for children with learning disabilities, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and processing disorders.
Using Orton-Gillingham, the Wilson Reading System, and Lindamood-Bell techniques, we provide structured, multi-sensory instruction that meets children where they are—and helps them get where they want to go.
Whether your child has a formal diagnosis or is simply struggling to keep up, we’re here with strategies that work and support that empowers.
Our Specialized Programs

Orton-Gillingham Approach
A time-tested, multi-sensory, structured literacy method designed for students with dyslexia and language-based learning difficulties. We break reading and writing down into manageable steps, using sight, sound, movement, and touch to reinforce learning.

Wilson Reading System®
An intensive intervention for students who struggle with decoding, fluency, and spelling. Wilson builds reading and language skills through direct, systematic instruction and is ideal for students in grades 2–12.

Lindamood-Bell Programs®
These programs strengthen sensory-cognitive functions that support reading, spelling, comprehension, and expression. It uses Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing® (LiPS®), Visualizing and Verbalizing®, Seeing Stars® and other techniques to build decoding and strong comprehension and critical thinking skills.

Moving with Math®
This program strengthens the sensory-cognitive foundations that support mathematical thinking, problem-solving, and numerical fluency. Using research-backed strategies, it helps develop essential skills such as number sense, pattern recognition, spatial reasoning, and logical analysis. Through multisensory instruction and guided discovery, students build confidence and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts—creating a lasting framework for success in math and beyond.
